Indoor Track Regional Champions and Updates from the Cheerleading County Comp!

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD 🏃

Last Friday, MPSSAA hosted the 4A Central Regional Indoor Track and Field Championship in Prince George’s County. Six teams from BCPS made the trip to compete, marking the largest total of any class in the county. Click this link to read more about how Dulaney, Dundalk, Kenwood, Parkville, Perry Hall, and Woodlawn’s athletes competed! The state championships are set to take place on February 17 and 18 in Landover!

CHEERLEADING 📣

The Baltimore County cheerleading competition took place at New Town High School last Tuesday, and a dozen schools from throughout the county are set to advance! The regional championships are set to take place at Howard Community College, with the East region performing on Tuesday and the West on Wednesday. Stay tuned for next week to find out who advanced to the MPSSC State Championship!

BOYS’ BASKETBALL 🏀

Dulaney and Overlea are still at the top of the standings, each having 11 wins. After Friday’s games were cancelled with schools releasing early due to weather conditions, BCPS has a great slate this week. Monday will feature Dulaney traveling to Parkville and Lansdowne hosting the Hereford Bulls. Towson will host the Overlea Falcons on Wednesday, before five high-stakes matchups between Thursday and Friday. _Playoff Brackets will release on Tuesday, February 24. GIRLS’ BASKETBALL 🏀

The Generals and the Millers are still undefeated with just two weeks left in the regular season. Right before Valentines Day, BCPS has a great Girls Basketball slate, with Carver set to travel to Towson, Franklin facing off against Hereford, and Perry Hall playing Loch Raven!
