BASEBALL

For the first time since 2007, a Baltimore County team has won a baseball state championship! On Monday evening at Ripken Stadium, Hereford faced Kent Island in the 2A title game. The biggest game of the season was tied with two outs in the bottom of the seventh, and Colton “Bubba” Hollander stepped to the plate. The freshman blooped a base hit down the right field line, and Daniel Metz crossed home to secure the first Hereford state championship in program history! Click below to see the walkoff hit!

Dulaney also represented Baltimore County in the 4A title game, marking their first appearance since 2001. Unfortunately, the Lions were defeated 10-2 by the Urbana Hawks. Click any link below each box score for a full recap on each baseball championship contest.
